Xmas Wishlist

23 December, 2007 | Written by Patchay at 8:57 PM in

I must say that I dislike being "tagged" by people in this blogging world.

However, I'll do THIS ONE because it is Christmas and I shall speak something genuinely from my heart...

Desmond Lee's tag asked Me what are my Christmas (or I would say for Year 2008) wishes? What's in my secretive wishlist?

Here's the top 3...

1. LOVE relationship (what???)
2. Better academic grades
3. Better job

Yes, relationship is somehow my No.1 wish for next year!

I'm not gonna tag anyone. Those who wanna be tagged can do so!

Patchay wishes ALL a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2008!

Riverfest Part II: RiverFire and The Glorious Skies

Awesome night...

Good show...

Spectacular photos...

Cool videos...

*** PHOTOS ***

Super-duper crowded...

Two F111 Royal Australian Air Force jets flew over Brisbane City in high speed, doing Fuel Dump and Burn - which marks the beginning of 30-minutes RiverFire fireworks show.

Light flashing across Brisbane City...

When 2 lights collide ...sounds like God is coming to Earth

Fires up an explosion of fireworks all over Brisbane City

View from South Bank...

Aerial view of Story Bridge...

Fireworks and music in the air...

Magnificent...

Then suddenly... Brisbane high-rises went on fire (as in fireworks)

Brisbane RiverFire is one of Australia's grandest fireworks displays... of course the largest and most expensive is the New Year Countdown in Sydney.

The fighter jets flew again for the very last time... signifying the end of RiverFire 2007.

End of RiverFire. Goodnight Brisbane.

Riverfest Part I

18 November, 2007 | Written by Patchay at 10:55 PM in , ,

Riverfestival is Brisbane's major annual community and environmental festival celebrating its waterways and culture by focusing on the city's signature natural landmark, the Brisbane River.

This year, Riverfestival ran between 31 August to 9 September, but the major highlight was on this day - 1 September.

Brissy folks started to picnic as early as 8.00am

Brisbane Riverfestival incorporating RiverFire 2007 (on this day) officially marks the beginning of Spring Season. It is Brisbane's largest, grandest and most anticipated event of the year.

Crowded atmosphere...

Beautiful day...

After noon, there was a spectacular airshow by the Roulettes of Australian Snow Birds.

I managed to capture some stunts in the sky from where I was standing!

The Roulettes pilots perform aircraft formations and stunts in over the city and Brisbane River to drum up excitement.

Later...

Roulettes team inside red circles

a bird came to join them as well...

By 5.30pm it was getting dark... and this is the time everyone is waiting for !!!

Stay tune for "Riverfest Part II: Glorious Skies".
