EMC Photo 2007

Event: Emmanuel College Annual Photo Session
Date: 13 September 2007
Time: 6.00-7.30am (yes no kidding!)

Harry Potters (fellow collegians) dressed up in the wee hours of the morning...

...the only reason is for a BIG BIG collegiate picture...

Almost 340 people in one picture. It must have been the most "crowded" picture I've ever taken in my life...

The professional man took a few shots with his big camera sitting on a tripod.

After the photo session, I was just too lazy to get to breakfast... so I went back to Hendo (wing) and checked this out...

Presenting to you - Hendo rockers performing the Wolffy Dance...

The usual crazy guys at Hendo...

Months later, the hardcopy of our photo came to each one of us! It's very clear unlike the below. The College will also put the photo up in the office next year.

The plastic-copy of our photo. I'm standing in the centre of the highlighted red box.

For memory's sake, Patchay was a student-cum-resident of Emmanuel College Queensland in 2007.

Sayonara to Semester 1

03 July, 2007 | Written by Patchay at 11:57 PM in , ,

Semester 1 is now OVER!!! First semester in Australia flew away in a blink of an eye. Now it's gone, and I'm looking forward to the next semester. Yes, half-way through my degree!

cereal - bacons - baked beans - toast bread - eggs - orange juice

I can never forget the type of breakfast I had every morning in College. Getting used to the Aussie way of life was not as difficult as I thought it would be.

beef-onion-cheese-bbq sauced Hamburger and Fish & Chips

In fact, sometimes I had more than I ever expected. Therefore, it was a very good start to my student life here in Brisbane.

Carmody Road - apparently the trees are flowery until today

Everything seemed to be going very well. Even tree branches along the road are bearing so much bright-pink flowers - they gave Me as much self-confidence on living independently whenever I see them.

Room no. 3 Henderson Wing cleaned

After my semester finals, I packup-ed and left College life to live confidently outside (off-campus) all on my own - only for this one month inter-semester break and I'll return to College once semester 2 begins because my contract is for two semesters.

Bye Bye ...

The reason why I say living all on my own is because food, cleaning and laundry would have to be done by myself. It was a chance for Me to learn how to cook for myself haha! A good training especially if I want to stay on my own next year.

Luke cheering us while we were rushing our pack

Hendo guys never really organized a farewell because most of us will be seeing each other again, with the exception of my room-neighbour who'll be leaving back to Texas, USA for good.

Goodbye Texas Ranger Tim! We'll always remember you for your 'sexy mom!'

Departure checklist marked, room key returned

For this period, I'll stay-rent in my friend's apartment not very far away from Brisbane city. I moved every belongings with Me except heavy textbooks which I left in the top compartment of my College room wardrobe.

Dawson Court

And finally this is my new address - 23 Dawson Court, Maryvale Street.

now I'm living a Simple Life, Simple Meal

Ooops... to celebrate my arrival to this new home, someone did cook dinner for Me. Lucky Me!

Hendo BBQ Outing

23 June, 2007 | Written by Patchay at 8:04 PM in , ,

This semester's first and also the last outing for Henderson (being the largest wing at Emmanuel College) took place on 26th of May at Guyatt Park.

Holly, 2nd from left, is the wing-leader for Upper Hendo (for ladies).

Hard rock band lover, Wolff (leftmost) enjoying his BBQ-ed patty and sausage. The grilling hot food was perfectly satisfying to Me especially at that point of time - which was the beginning of winter.

This is what I call "Teamwork". We, Hendo Guys and Girls are a bunch of co-operative and hardworking people!

Food and games made us closer together. I personally wished for more wing-outings next semester!

Henderson First Semester 2007

It was indeed an afternoon filled with fun; and an afternoon well spent with friends I lived with under one common roof!

Today I had a bad day. My Law exam was... BAD!!! Oh no...what have I done? I just have to pray for a PASS now. The good side is that I have 2 more papers to go, both on Monday.

After Monday, I'll take a few days off, a very much deserved break after weeks of studies; and maybe do some packing as I'll be leaving college to stay with my friend for this winter season. I'll be back to college when semester two resumes.

The student departure checklist was passed to Me minutes ago, telling Me what should I do when I vacate my room at the end of next week.

Emmanuel's UnbelievaBall continues. The photos below were obtained or contributed from or by other people. Have fun viewing!

This guy's hair is quite cool...

The guys having fun together...

Not bad...

OK...I can explain this. All the guys who were at the dance floor at that time (that stupid Ringo Rock music!) were asked to strip down like above.

So happened I was there too... and those Asian friends and people around Me were cheering for Me to DOWN DOWN. Humiliating Me or what?

Yes I finally did pull down... OMG I know it was my first time doing this in public and in front of so many ladies. But the entire area at that time was quite dark, and mine was nothing special compared to others haha, so who cares?

I like the shining light above...

The end of an unbelievable night. But not the end of UnbelievaBall...

After what was an awesome Ball, we had RECOVERY the next morning. It was a time for us to chillout and recuperate from the exhaustion we had the night before.

We played some ice-breakers, but somehow the "party" feeling was still strong in all our hearts, so we kinda "partied" again ooops...

"Mummy Mummy, I drank too much last night", the boy cried out to himself.

The dresscode for Recovery.. what more can you say?

Macho-ness

Piggyback Game

So now you know what is Australian Life!
