Ipswich City Walking Tour Part I of III

Took a QR train from Toowong to the western city of Ipswich, located at Zone 7 of outer-Brisbane hinterland.

The usual Toowong station that I passed by everyday.

50 minutes train journey :

... - Toowong - Taringa - Indooroopilly - Chelmer - Graceville - Sherwood - Corinda - Oxley - Darra - Wacol - Gailes - Goodna - Redbank - Riverview - Dinmore - Ebbw Vale - Bundamba - Booval - East Ipswich - Ipswich City - ...

A sense of rural Australia. Virgin and secondary forests. Red soil.

How do you pronounced this? I can't say the first part.

[Arrived at Ipswich City Square (more next post) before 10.30am]

I walked away from the Central area to explore the outskirts of Ipswich.

Not Proton Satria lah. This road leads to UQ Ipswich (post Part III).

Streets of Ipswich

Ipswich Law Courts area

Local government complexes, including City Hall? Don't under estimate this little town.

Old churches

Wild Wild West !

This is the place where I got lost. I was finding my way to a newly opened Riverlink Shopping Mall [next post] across the Ipswich River.

Overall: tiring walk, nice scenery, but VERY quiet - tranquility.
